Note: for this guide, the MacOS operating system was used, but the usage is the same also on Windows and Linux.
Before using Emotional Songs, you have to properly configure the server it works with.
For further information, see the [manual’s specific page](/post/server configuration).
After the installation, double-click on the Emotional Songs icon to open the client software.
After the start screen, you have to insert the access data to the previously configured server.

When connected, the main panel of the Emotional Songs client software will appears.
From this page you can consult the songs repository as an unregistered user, displaying, for each song of the repository:
- the author
- the title
- a report with an average of the emotions entered by registered users and their comments
- a link to the song video on YouTube.
In addition, from the menu bar at the top of the window, you can register and/or login, in order to unlock all the features of the software.
